Senior Accounting Analyst: The Walt Disney Company

  • Building experience with Disney Corporate SOGs, policies and procedures, MACRS, straight-line depreciation, and GAAP
  • ​Capitalized over $90 million worth of assets across different business units and various types of projects
  • Reconcile hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of journal entries to help identify and explain variances that will ensure the accuracy of the general ledger accounts
  • Perform journal entries to debit and credit the appropriate general ledger accounts to ensure accurate accounting
  • Analyze large and complex projects including Genie+ software  while continuing work on other projects including:
    • Learned various SAP T-Codes through testing environments
    • DCL Tax project- analyzed over $580 million worth of assets to ensure appropriate tax treatments, both domestically and internationally, while maximizing tax savings for the company
    • A Theme Park tax project- over $119 million in assets, creating tax modifications that will lead to millions in tax savings in the near future
    • Miscellaneous projects including taking over Winshuttle software, joining the event planning committee, actively working on creating trainings for project reversals with post caps, teaching new interns the office basics, and other projects as needed

Marketing Intern: The University of Virginia Foundation

Designed a marketing campaign for the Research Park area of the University of Virginia using social media and digital marketing to market available properties and functions. Marketed new locations, services and amenities to the local community. Including a new cafe open to the public and a new bus transportation line for the local community.

Social Media Manager: JMU Student Government Association

In addition to being a College of Business senator I planned events, created traditional marketing campaigns, and strategized digital marketing plans. I was responsible for growing our reach, followers, and engagement across all social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

College of Business Senator: JMU Student Government Association

Elected by the James Madison University general student body to serve as the Academic Senator to The College of Business. Appointed the position of Social Media Marketing Manager for the JMU Student Government Association. I represented The College of Business student interests to the Student Senate and The College of Business. I voted on all student initiatives and represented all interests of the College of Business to the Student Senate.

Executive Treasurer: JMU Student Government Association

Elected by the James Madison University general student body to serve as the Student Body Treasurer. I serve as the SGA Finance Committee chair, overseeing 10 senators. I also serve as an Executive Council Member where I vote on vital legislation that affects the student body and serve as a liaison between students and top administrators at JMU. I am responsible for budgeting over $52,000 internally and over $400,000 externally in student fees. I distribute over $100,000 in program grants and over $85,000 in contingency funds to clubs on campus each semester.

Elected by the members of the organization. I was responsible for activity and involvement of over 50 members. I maintained and created budget goals for the organization. I also developed skills with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Powerpoint.

Floor Representative: Office of Residence Life, JMU

Elected by the residents of my dorm. Represented 32 students on the Community Activities Board in Logan Hall. I planned and budgeted over 15 hall events. ​I was responsible for bringing all residents in the building together to create an inclusive living environment. I aided in planning and hosting community service events such as raising funds for SPCA.

Co-Organizer: Pitch-In Acapella concert at JMU

Pitch-In Acapella concert was a benefit concert for the victims of hurricanes Harvey and Irma, the earthquake in Mexico, and the western USA wildfire. I was in charge of advertising through social media, other media channels, and local T.V. interviews. I recruited and organized 13 Acapella and dance groups to perform. I raised over $4,000 for the United Way Chapters in each disaster area.

I was selected among all students on campus who met a certain academic requirement. I completed orientation, step-by-step leadership training programs, and 3 success networking meetings. I attended and watched speeches and thought leadership series put on by leaders such as Barbara Corcoran, Al Roker, and Trevor Noah.
